The SMP Journey
How It Works
We carefully place pigment into the scalp to replicate natural hair follicles — blending seamlessly with your skin tone to create a realistic shaved finish.
Built over 2–4 sessions, each stage adds depth and detail to ensure a soft, natural result — never harsh or “painted.”
Built Around You
Every result is fully customised.
Whether you’ve been shaving your head for years or you’re just starting to lose your hair, we design a look that suits your face, skin tone, and style.
You’ll see visible improvement after the first session — with each stage refining and strengthening the overall result.

FRequently Asked Questions
What types of male hair loss can SMP treat?
SMP’s men’s treatment is designed to address all common forms of male hair loss, including receding hairlines, thinning crowns, diffuse thinning across the top of the scalp, and complete baldness. Whether you’re at the early stages of a receding hairline or have experienced total hair loss, our artists have the experience and technique to create a result that looks natural and age-appropriate. The treatment is also suitable for men who have had hair transplant surgery and want to blend or enhance the results. No matter your stage of hair loss, we build a custom plan tailored specifically to your scalp and facial structure.
Will SMP give me the look of a shaved head or actual hair growth?
SMP for men is designed to replicate the appearance of a closely shaved head — often described as a ‘zero-grade buzz cut’ look — which is one of the most popular and timeless styles for men. The micro-impressions placed on the scalp mimic the natural dot-like appearance of freshly shaved follicles, giving the illusion of a full head of hair at scalp level. For men who still have some hair, we can use SMP to add visual density so the existing hair looks thicker and fuller. The final look is clean, sharp, and above all — completely undetectable.
How is the hairline designed, and do I get a say in the process?
Absolutely — hairline design is a collaborative process from start to finish. During your consultation, we study your facial structure, bone structure, age, and natural hair growth patterns to recommend a hairline shape that complements your features. We’ll map out the design and get your approval before any pigment is placed on the scalp, so you know exactly what to expect. Our philosophy is that hairlines should never look generic or overdone — they should look like yours.
Do I need to shave my head before getting SMP?
Is there any downtime after SMP, and when can I return to normal activities?
One of the major advantages of SMP is that it requires no surgical downtime whatsoever. Most men return to work and daily activities immediately after each session, with only a few aftercare precautions to follow during the healing period. In the first 4 days following a session, we recommend avoiding swimming, intense exercise that causes heavy sweating, and direct sun exposure on the scalp. After that initial period, normal activities can resume, and your scalp will continue to settle naturally over the following weeks.
